Shropshire Images is owned and run by Anthony Harper who started photography in the 1980′s with a humble 110 format compact camera given to him by his parents. His love of photography was born, never waned and ‘serious’ photography started in 1986 whilst studying Graphic Design at Art School. Here he upgraded to an SLR, learned darkroom skills and rediscovered ways of capturing places and aspects of nature in striking and unusual ways.

Many thousands of images later, using the latest digital technology gives him a freedom to express the beauty of the diverse landscape and nature of Britain in ways never before possible.

He counts himself fortunate to live in a part of Shropshire designated an area of outstanding natural beauty and it is the Shropshire hills that have become the main subject for many of the images found on this website. Most of his photography is undertaken whilst walking in his local area.

He now runs his own web design and development business which enables him to combine his love of photography with his love of design.
